We Made it, and thank god for apple stores! Its, umm, well, overwhelming. Extremely overwhelming. Busy. Minimal English, very minimal. And we only have minimal Japanses.

Happy New Year!!!! Am wondering how they celebrate in Osaka - Just take your time getting used to the culture and dramatic changes - it must seem other worldly but very exciting and stimulating. Give yourselves a chance to transition. mom

Oh, apple stores are great because you can run in, use the Internet, and leave. We watched a celebratory televised J-pop concert on New Year's Eve and had a bottle of champagne.
